Hopefully the past week you didn’t search the radio dial and think that Wimberley’s radio station was off the air. It wasn’t, it merely changed its frequency from 94.1 to 94.3. Better reception for the low power station is the big reason why. The Floresville station also broadcasting on the same wavelength interfered with KWVH’s signal.
Call it what you will serendipity or a lost soul yearning for home!
Pedernales Electric Cooperative’s (PEC) Board of Directors approved a rate reduction that will save PEC members over $6 million a year. The rate decrease, which goes into effect June 1, 2020, reflects a reduction in the cost of power from PEC’s primary suppliers, including the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). At 1,25o kWh of use, this adjustment represents a savings of $1.25 per month for members.
