KWVH’s one-man production crew

Getting local information is important. This does not include Austin papers, TV or radio stations as local. Reporting news that is important, as in Wimberley and Hays County, is different than the rest of Central Texas. This is especially true when we are urged to stay at home as much as possible.

Honoring the front line workers

Working on fundraising for the annual EMS Duck Race, a group of EMS supporters were asked to find ways to make the race bigger than it has been in the past. Then the Duck Race was canceled. Taking a cue from others around the country, instead of white ribbons being tied onto door knobs and trees, they decided to be more Wimberley-like.

H-E-B expands delivery to Wimberley

H-E-B and Favor Delivery have expanded service to support even more Texans, including in Wimberley. With this move, Favor has doubled its delivery coverage area statewide to give more Texans access to on-demand delivery from restaurants and stores, and to support more seniors via the H-E-B & Favor Senior Support Program. In rapid response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Favor — whose most recent statewide expansion included adding 40 new Texas markets over the course of 12 months — has just launched 75 new Texas markets within an accelerated one-week timeframe, as well as expanded its delivery areas in its existing markets.

So, I looked into my email history and found a question I was asked back in October of 2019, “When do the seasons start in 2020?”.

Keep Wimberly Beautiful

We all acknowledge that Wimberley is a beautiful little town. We know, too, that it’s natural setting in a lovely valley blessed with plenty of greenery, unexpected Texas hills (especially the Twin Sisters), Blanco River, and Cypress Creek create this natural beauty. However, I think we should thank our business owners on and around the square for the many hours and dollars they invest in keeping their shops clean and attractive.
