Honoring the front line workers
Working on fundraising for the annual EMS Duck Race, a group of EMS supporters were asked to find ways to make the race bigger than it has been in the past. Then the Duck Race was canceled. Taking a cue from others around the country, instead of white ribbons being tied onto door knobs and trees, they decided to be more Wimberley-like.
These supporters decided to honor the healthcare workers and first responders by honoring them with ribbons and cut out hearts on the rails of the Cypress Creek Bridge. This was for all to see how much the community cares and appreciates our healthcare professionals and all their hard work. The creative Wimberleyites behind the hearts and ribbons were: Chloe Williams, Mollie Jesse, Jennifer Waide and Marnie Moore.
