The Hays County Brown Santa program has started its annual drive for money, food, and toys to assist families in need in Hays County.

Halloween in Wimberley got underway last weekend with the Haunted Pioneer Town and Train Ride of Terror. A production of the Wimberley Players and 7A Ranch, the two-evening event raised goosebumps as actors portrayed resident ghosts in the streets, the shops, the graveyard, the chapel, and other locations throughout the Western-themed village. The town’s newly operational 12-gauge railroad provided visitors with a hairraising trip as ghoulish apparitions appeared along the route.
