Hays County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to approve the use of American Rescue Plan Act Funding for a Rental/ Utility Assistance Program for Hays County residents at their regularly scheduled Nov. 7. The program will be run through the Blanco River Regional Recovery Team.
The last Wimberley Market Day for the year is on Saturday, December 2. Celebrating all things Christmas, the Wimberley Lions Club, vendors, and volunteers from the community will be in high spirits to ensure a festive experience for shoppers and visitors alike. Texas State University announced it will not sell University Camp—a 126acre oasis in Wimberley with over four miles of hiking and biking trails and views of the Blanco River that is available to university alumni, students and staff.

Hundreds of veterans and their families filled the Oldham-Cummings Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6441 to observe Veterans Day in Wimberley. A barbeque luncheon, organized by Veterans Day committee chair Mike Lukowiak, drew well over 300 people who savored the generous meal with other service members. “It was,” he said, “the largest Veterans Day observance at the post in recent years.”
