Due to a policy change in how labs report positive COVID-19 cases to the Hays County Local Health Department, the County will no longer post a weekend update of new positive cases.
There are now 3,979 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hays County with 3,080 of them active, according to the Hays County Local Health Department. That is 336 new cases in the last week averaging 48 per day. Of those, there have been 66 total cases in the Wimberley Valley and 46 are considered active. Only one of those cases is within the city limits of Woodcreek. That is 8 new cases in the last week.
