Wimberley Market Day returns on March 6

With mayoral approval once again given to the Wimberley Lions Club to hold their popular monthly event, Saturday, March 6, will kick off the 2021 Market Day season. The same safety measures, masks and distancing, which were observed at Lions Field in the latter part of last year, will be observed in all future events until such parameters are officially rescinded. Beer, wine, and limited food concessions will be open. Lion President, Bobby Burris, said, “It fills us with such ‘pride’ to be able, once again, to host these markets. Despite last year with all of its challenges and difficulties, the no-quit spirit of Wimberley and our Lions Club will strive to continue this age-old tradition of hosting Market Days at Lions Field.”

Neighbors rally to help victims of fire

Due to the harsh weather, they had added some blankets and a heat lamp for the dogs as the federally declared disastrous weather required. She walked to the edge of her property to see if the roads were passable. She wasn’t the only one. She ran into some of her neighbors in the farthest corners of Rolling Oaks. Then she saw something strange as she looked back up her driveway. It looked like smoke was drifting up from the area of her home.
