In Support of Olson, Holtsinger, Moreland for WISD

As a parent of two WISD students and a grateful member of the Wimberley community for over ten years, I believe that Gretchen Holtsinger, Lori Olson, and Edmond Moreland will bring the most balanced and authentic leadership to the WISD Board of Trustees. These thoughtful, committed citizens will bring real experience, kindness, compassion, integrity, and a long history of community service to our schools. I’ve known Lori and Edmond for years as our kids have grown up together playing sports, attending birthday parties, meeting up in parks, and enjoying the beauty and community of the Wimberley Valley. I know Gretchen as a neighbor and am thrilled that we finally have the opportunity to bring an experienced educator onto the Board of Trustees. Currently, our Board doesn’t have an educator and we desperately need a supportive, knowledgeable educator’s voice as we move forward to hire a new superintendent for the 2022-23 school year.

I believe our kids deserve the experience, integrity, and honesty these candidates offer. I also believe these candidates will not engage in harmful partisan politics and will focus on their roles as Board members for our district. In a time when many of us might be feeling a sense of division in our community, I will vote for the candidates that can help unify us by listening to diverse perspectives with open hearts and skilled reasoning. I will vote for Lori Olson - Place 1, Edmond Moreland - Place 2, and Gretchen Holtsinger - Place 3 for WISD Board of Trustees on November 2nd. I hope you will join me in supporting the best candidates for these important positions.
