LETTERS OF SUPPORT

Supporting LeBrun, Britner, Hambrick for Woodcreek

I have known Aurora LeBrun, Nancye Britner, and Bob Hambrick through my volunteer work with the City of Woodcreek, and I support their candidacies to serve on the Woodcreek City Council.

Nancye Britner served on Council for several terms, and she earned a reputation as the voice of reason. You could count on Nancye to always put the citizens first. As the Council liaison for the Parks Board, she was an invaluable resource in producing the City’s first Parks Master Plan, but she is most proud of her work to complete the Veterans Memorial Park and being the Mayor’s designated lead for public safety in the City.

Bob Hambrick is new to the City and Council, but he is not new to public service. He fell in love with Woodcreek and, as soon as he settled here, he became a valuable volunteer for planning and zoning and then ran successfully for a oneyear term. During his brief time on Council, he has shown dedication and initiative, starting the Neighbor-to-Neighbor program, which was very effective in reaching citizens during our winter emergency.

Aurora LeBrun has proven her commitment to the City and its residents many times; she is always accessible; and the first one to respond in times of emergency. Aurora’s strength are her commitment to communicate and listen to citizens and use that input to pursue priorities for the City. Her experience in budgeting is invaluable – just recently, she spearheaded significant reductions in next year’s budget to protect City reserves while maintaining services.

I will cast my ballot for these three candidates and I encourage you to do the same for the future of Woodcreek.
