Supporting Bo Bowman for Place 5

Vote for Bo!

It has been my great pleasure to work with Bo Bowman for the last few years in my role as a KAPS School Board Member. As a career educator and licensed attorney, Bo possesses a unique combination of talents that set him apart.

As a Government, Economics, and History teacher at KAPS, Bo has inspired my teenage son. I have seen first hand the dedication he has for his students and the respect and admiration they have for him. I’ve also come to know his wife Nancy and their two daughters, who stand with him for our town.

I believe his dedication and ability to lead and inspire, and his expertise in government, economics and law will make Bo an excellent City Council member.

I know he will make himself available, and include ALL Wimberley residents to engage in thoughtful and clear discussion around the issues facing our community. He’ll put our city back on track, making it the accountable organization it must be to represent our needs fairly and transparently.

I have discussed our town’s environmental and resource challenges with Bo, and it’s clear his goal and vision is to make environmental responsibility central in every action the city takes. When I asked how he would restore transparency to our local government, Bo explained he would like to hold a town meeting after the election with the purpose of providing details of our current situation, and engage citizens in finding solutions.

I look forward to seeing Bo Bowman lead us into a respectful, trusting and financially stable future in Wimberley. I support him for Wimberley City Council Place 5.

Wimberley is a special place that deserves dedicated public servants, people committed to being in service to our town and its constituents. As Wimberley grows and plans for the future, we need inclusive, transparent leaders willing to listen and fight for what we want. We need someone invested in our community, a person who will work hard to improve our town with the input from those who live here; someone with an open door policy. I believe Bo Bowman is the right person for that job, and hope you will vote him into Place 5 on the Wimberley City Council this May.

Service is second nature to someone like Bo. He served our country in the Navy. He served as an educator in the Houston inner-city schools for 15 years. He’s a lawyer but currently serves our children as the U.S. History & Government teacher at KAPS. He chooses to be in service to others and always has, so I know he will put the people of Wimberley first over power or partisan politics.

Bo is also committed to serving the environment, from making the wastewater system project a priority to improving Wimberley’s infrastructure. He wants to push for fiscal responsibility and government transparency from the inside, and give a voice to all who live here— something we desperately need to truly move this town forward.

There will always be status quo politicians who do the bare minimum and enrich themselves at the expense of others, hoping we won’t notice. A vote for Bo Bowman for Wimberley City Council is a vote for the opposite: integrity, accountability, inclusive leadership, and a positive vision for Wimberley.
