Wimberley ISD approves of new scoreboard for Texan Stadium

Texan Stadium is about to receive a small upgrade.

Wimberley ISD officially approved a request to replace the Texan’s Stadium scoreboard with a new score/video board.

For Wimberley Athletic Director Doug Warren, the request has been a long time coming.

“It’s something we wanted and tried to do for a long time,” Wimberley Athletic Director Doug Warren said. “For whatever reason, we didn’t, and we just couldn’t make it work. The price point of these (scoreboards) have dropped quite considerably, and so with them dropping and our scoreboard kind of struggling right now, with that happening it was the right time to attack this now. It is an awesome opportunity for our school district, and the entire town is going to be proud of it.”

No update when the project is supposed to be finished.
