Texans win over Navarro Panthers

The Texans played one game this past week on Friday against the Navarro Panthers (719). The Texans went on the road and dominated, winning 76-41 in a big must-win game to keep their playoff hopes in sight. Five Texan players finished the night with double digit points as Ethan Sharpe had the hot hand finishing with 23 points on just thirteen shots, Paul Gumbert followed up with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists in a near triple double.

The Texans’ (16-13) next game will be the start of a two game home stand as they will host Canyon Lake (1418) in the second and final battle of the backbone game as Canyon Lake took the first one by one point. This game will also keep Wimberley in the 4th place spot in district and give them a little bit of breathing room with a win, or will move Canyon Lake into the final spot and move Wimberley down to 5th with only the top four teams in district making playoffs and only three games left in the Texans’ season.
