Texan football team puts five on Academic All State

Wimberley Texan football players Ty Cabler, Trey Degenhart, Ty Pruett, and Cameron Waida, along with student trainer Zane Shoebroek, were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association 2020 Academic All-State team.

In order to be nominated for the team, players must be:

• An athlete, student trainer or manager in good standing with the team

• Of good moral character

• A senior

• Have an overall grade point average of 92 or above

(including courses from grades 9-11 and courses completed from grade 12).

Cabler and Degenhart each earned 2nd Team status, while Pruett, Shoebroek, and Waida were Honorable Mention.
