Lady Texans win streak continues

After winning the Bronze Bracket at the San Marcos Ragin Rattler Tournament, the Wimberley Lady Texans looked to continue their four-game win streak with games against Devine and Gonzales.

The first game of the week was a road trip to Devine to battle the Arabians. However, the Lady Texans proved to be too much for Devine sweeping the series 25-11, 25-12, 25-16. Senior Olivia Linton led the team in kills with eight while Senior duo of Payton Knight and Rayna Pack each had six kills.

The second game was a Friday night homestand against the Gonzales Lady Apaches. In dominant fashion, the Lady Texans again proved to be too much for Gonzales sweeping the series 25-12, 25-12, 25-15.

With their victories over Devine and Gonzales, the Lady Texans are on a six game winning streak including being 14-0 in their last sets.

The Lady Texans resume play on Friday and hopes to extend their six-game winning streak with a home game against Cedar Creek Lady Eagles. This will be a rematch from the Ragin Rattler Tournament where Wimberley won in straight sets 25-4, 25-15.
