The Junior Varsity and Freshman volleyball teams hosted Tex-Fest last weekend. Both squads won the Gold Consolation Bracket.
“They played really good competition and fought hard this weekend,” Head Coach Stephanie Barthels said.
Both teams won their first game of the tournament and lost the second game setting them up to be in the Gold Consolation Bracket. On Saturday, the JV beat Lago Vista in three sets before taking down Bandera in two sets 25-15, 26-24 to win the bracket. The Freshman beat Lago Vista in two sets before taking down Fredericksburg 25-15, 25-21 to win the bracket.
The varsity team was off the court this weekend and helped work the tournament. All three teams will play in Poth on Friday. District play starts on September 21.
