Wayne G. Skaggs

Wayne G. Skaggs, loving father, grandfather, and friend to many in Wimberley area and beyond, has joined Hana, his beloved wife of 53 years in eternal rest. He was born a self-professed “farm boy” in Bonne Terre, Missouri to Jasper and Laddie Skaggs. He attended the University of Missouri. Served his country as an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. When returning home with a new family he pursued a highly successful career in the mutual funds industry. He was a former president of his organization and served with distinction on the Board of Governors for the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD). At the end of his working career he settled in Wimberley with Hana to enjoy their retirement years. Family and friends meant everything to Wayne. He left a lasting legacy for his surviving family members: son Bob and his wife Rosemary, daughter Melody and her husband Mike, and daughter Joy, grandchildren Noah and his wife Anai, Thomas, Janel and Crystal, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at Thomason Funeral Home, 14700 Ranch Rd 12 in Wimberley on Friday, September 27 at 3:00 PM.
