    JUNE CAROL SMITH OLIVER AULT

June Carol Smith Oliver Ault

June 06, 1927-October 14, 2021 – 94 years old

June died peacefully at home surrounded by family. A most remarkable artist, feminist, and trailblazer, June loved and was loved by everyone she met, and her friends are too numerous to count. Pro fessionally trained as an artist, educator, and social worker, June’s talents were boundless. Married first to Red Oliver, with whom she bore three daughters, they shared a love of nature, camping, and birdwatching. Her marriage of forty-five years to Henry Winston Ault was filled with joy. Together they danced the honkytonks of Texas, traveled the world, and loved until the end.

June is survived by her husband Henry Winston Ault; her children Jean LaGrone (Oliver), Randy LaGrone, Kay Oliver, Suzanne Oliver, and James Ault; her grandchildren Jeff LaGrone, Eve McCabe, Ben

Thompson, Mark Thompson, Nicholas Rains, Anna Ault, and Justice Ault; her great-grandchildren Brenna McCabe, Mathew McCabe, Finn Thompson, and Luke Thompson.

June cherished her seven siblings, her many nieces and nephews, and all her extended family. She was truly a matriarch of a large and loving circle of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in 2022 at a date yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Friends of Blue Hole Regional Park www.friendsofbluehole.org
