Donald Warren Connally

Donald Warren Connally stepped joyfully into his eternal home on Monday, October 7, 2019, at 5:01 p.m. Don was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 28, 1928.

He is survived by his most-precious and beloved wife of 45 years, Mary (Boone) Connally, and a treasured brother Wesley Connally. Don has two sons (one deceased) and four daughters (including sonsin-law and daughters-inlaw), 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; he also has a community of amazing caring friends and a cherished church family. Don joined the Navy reserves at the age of 17 and served 5 years. While his primary career was with City Public Service for 34 years, he worked many years in the air conditioning and refrigeration trade. Don was a Mason and Past Master at Wimberley Masonic Lodge and the District Deputy Grand Master (DDGM-50B Masonic District). He had a passion for the Cedar Oak Mesa Water System and devoted 24 years diligently working in this area. He received his amateur radio license an enjoyed rebuilding antique radios. Don could accomplish anything he set his mind to.

The service will be held at the Chapel in the Hills Church at 14601 RR 12 North, Wimberley, Texas 78676, on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in Avey Hall at the Church.

Plants/flowers are welcome and can be delivered the day before (10/23/19), until 4:00 PM. In lieu of Flowers, contributions can be made to the “Chapel in the Hills” memorial fund in his name.
