Dixie Helen Blake

Dixie Helen Blake 76, of Wimberley, TX passed away on January 8, 2021.

Dixie was born on April 9, 1944 Seattle, WA to Lieutenant Colonel Jack MacSlarrow and Margaret McDowell.

She married her high school sweetheart, Roy Blake, on June 19, 1964 in Houston, TX

Dixie enjoyed being involved in the community though her many careers and volunteering. In her lifetime she was a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Pearland EMT, Dispatcher for Pearland Police Department and Pearland High School Attendance Clerk.

She was also an avid Volunteer with Meals on Wheels, Pearland First United Methodist Church and Wimberley United Methodist Church

Above all, Dixie nurtured all those she could in God’s love; she will be greatly missed but her legacy of love lives on.

Dixie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Roy Blake as well as her daughters and their families: Rebecca Blake Orsi and daughter Josie; Michelle Blake Berwick, husband Jerry Berwick and son Cole; Jennifer Blake Monahan, husband Thomas M. Monahan III and sons Blake and Brazos; Deborah Blake Faires, husband Chris Faires and children Olivia, Savana, Maggie, Cooper, Charlotte and Davy.

She is also survived by her beloved brother, Jack MacSlarrow, wife Dorothy MacSlarrow as well as nephew Jasper and nieces Heather and Rachel.

Dixie is preceded in death by her parents Lieutenant Colonel Jack MacSlarrow and Margaret MacSlarrow.

Due to the current pandemic, we are choosing not to have a Memorial Service at this time.
