Catherine Viola Wallace

Catherine Viola Wallace, of Wimberley, Texas, passed on to meet her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 19, 2019, after spending 7 years in assisted living at home and 4 years in a Nursing home. Catherine was born to Daisy and Aubyn Cox on June 17, 1937. Catherine is survived by her daughter Lisa, Husband Peter, and two sons Paul & Ben. Lisa and Peter Cooper have two children, William and Melissa.

Catherine was a Physical Therapist in New York City. Her favorite client was Eve Arden (actress in the movie “Our Miss Brooks”) and who also starred later in the movie “Grease”. After a period of time she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where she fulfilled her passion for collecting art.

Catherine then met Anthony Albert Alloggio, a U.S. Navy Commander and Jag in Houston, Texas. The two were married and raised their children in Hawaii. After a period of time Anthony developed cancer and passed away in 1998. He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery. Catherine then moved back to Southhampton, in Houston, where she had grown up. Shortly after she moved to Houston, she met a longtime friend, as well as a friend of her widowed husband, Rusty Wallace. The two were married in 2005 and moved to Wimberley, Texas.

Viewing will be held Thursday December 5th from 5 – 8 pm at Thomason Funeral Home in Wimberley. Service will be held Friday 10:00 am December 6th at St Stephens Church, Wimberley. TX.
