Ozona matching library donations
Donations made to the expansion fund at the Wimberley Village Library will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000 in contributions beginning August 5th through the end of the year 2020.
This is the second year for the Ozona Bank Challenge grant program. Last year, during the Ozona Bank Challenge time period, the library received a total of $28,000 in donations.
The library district trustees are working on plans to more than double the space available for programs and public activities and hope to raise more than $4 million to make that a reality. They now own the property just north of the present building facing FM 2325.
“Ozona Bank is honored for the second consecutive year to support this journey of growth for the Wimberley Village Library Foundation. We are challenging the Wimberley Community to help make this dream come true so the library can continue enhancing the educational, cultural and community-oriented programs that enrich the lives of all ages within our community,” said Kelly Barclay, President & CEO of Ozona Bank.
Carrie Campbell, chair of the foundation board, said:

The library has evolved to meet diverse needs in these uncertain times, and Ozona Bank is doing its part to ensure that the library can remain a vital resource hub and learning center in the years to come. Carolyn Manning, library director, had a similar response:
“The Wimberley Village Library appreciates the support that Ozona Bank gives our community. It is especially important to the library, now, during this unprecedented time. Support from Ozona Bank will help us meet our goal of raising sufficient funds to expand our facility as we strive to become the cultural center of Wimberley.”
