A heartfelt Texan send off
When you win and you make it to the playoffs in Wimberley, the whole town gives you the best sendoff it can. Moms, dads, grandparents and community residents were all there and then some.
“I love my community and the Texans are a big part. I’ve never had kids. These are my kids. And I’ll be there in San Antonio to support them,” Tom Keyser said. “ I couldn’t agree more,” John Treeton said about his support for the Texans.
I just love the Texans. I’m here to celebrate the boys for their hard work and to cheer them on,’ Melinda Tyler said. Proving that his blood is Texan red, white and blue, Coach Steve Meeks was there to cheer on another generation of Texans, remembering when his son Mikey, played in the Alamodome back in the 90s.
Texan pride runs deep in these parts, and related or not, the Wimberley community loves and supports the team. Only in a small town, does this bring all community members together.
