Radio play brings ghost stories alive
Last year’s radio plays were such a success, Wimberley Valley Radio and Wimberley Players decided to do it again. Almost 600 people saw the radio plays live. The Opry House at Pioneer (Ghost) Town at 7A will host again.
The company is called the Wimberley Valley Radio Players. The show title is “Tales from the Devil’s Backbone.” It is a co-production of Wimberley Valley Radio and the Wimberley Playhouse.
The performances will have a live audience on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, October 25 to 27. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8, 9 and 10 pm. Sunday at 8 and 9 pm.
This year, Tim Tingle, the nationally renowned author and storyteller to do wraparound performances between radio show performances. He will tell the classic tale of La Lloranda (the Lady in White) and other tales.
All the actors, music sound effects will be performed live at the Opry House at 7A’s Pioneertown. Anyone who attends the haunted ghost town that weekend can see one of the performances as part of the admission.
