National Night Out Woodcreek

Every year in October, the National Night Out Association sponsors a nationwide crime, drug, and violence prevention program through National Night Out events across the country. The City of Woodcreek plays a vital role, in association with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office and the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office in crime prevention in Hays County. For several years, the City of Woodcreek has sponsored a National Night Out event to encourage its citizens to meet and form partnerships with Hays County law enforcement officials, first responders, and City and County staff and elected officials.

This year, National Night Out is observed on Tuesday, October 2. The City of Woodcreek is hosting the event at Quicksand Golf Course, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and is encouraging all residents to attend. In addition to presentations by law enforcement officials and first responders, City officials will unveil the new Rain Water Collection System located at the Golf Course. This system is part of the partnership effort with the Meadows Center to promote and educate residents on water saving and conservation measures.

Little Beverly and the Shades will entertain those attending with its toe-tapping renditions of “oldies” from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. A fajita buffet catered by Ron Dooley will be served. In addition to getting valuable information on crime prevention and services available in our community, the event is a great opportunity to meet new neighbors and reacquaint with old friends.
