Wimberley VFW honors veterans
On Saturday, November 10 a special meal took place at the VFW hall. Honoring veterans and their families, it had the feeling of a big family reunion, with hugs, smiles and camaraderie between those who served their county.
The parking lot at the hall was jammed with cars and the service Vets were welcome at the door. It was a family affair as there was even bouncy houses were on the grounds to keep the children occupied.
The Boy Scouts of Troop 127 were on hand to help serve those who have served. All branches of the service were represented and even a WWII U.S. Navy Vet attended. It was a great lunch time gathering and a great way to honor Wimberley’s best and their families.
