Wimberley Pride celebrates with parade

More than 50 vehicles participated in the Wimberley Pride Ride, which highlighted an entire weekend of events put on by Wimberley Pride. Originally scheduled as a pride march, organizers elected to change to a vehicle parade due to COVID-19 concerns.

The parade started in the South River Business Park, went into the Wimberley Square to Winter’s Mill before traveling back to the starting point.

The Grand Marshall for the parade was the Wimberley LGBTQ+ students and allies, which were represented by Maeve Galloway, who led the parade.

“It went really well,” David Martin, with Wimberley Pride, said. “It was a positive experience for the entire community, and it was a great success.”
