WHS One Act play reaches Regionals
By placing first at the bi-district UIL One Act Play competition on March 23, Wimberley High School’s Lone Star Theatre program has advanced to the 4A Region IV event to be held on April 14-15 at Gregory-Portland HS.
WHS, which is performing “Anatomy of Gray,” finished third at the district OAP contest on March 13 behind Canyon Lake HS and Davenport HS. That finish was good enough to qualify WHS for the bi-district competition at Cuero HS, where they performed in competition against its fellow District 28 qualifiers in addition to the top three from District 27: Gonzales HS, LaVernia HS, and Cuero HS. Canyon Lake HS finished in second behind WHS to also qualify for Region.

The top two finishers (out of eight qualifers) at the Region IV competition will advance to the UIL State One Act Play competition, scheduled to be held April 29 - May 1 in Austin.
