Where to catch Texan games

Wimberleyradio.org is the place to hear all the 2018-19 Wimberley Football games anywhere in the world. But if you ‘re local you can pick up all the games on your car or home radio at 104.1 on the dial.

August 31 is their first game this season, at Burnet, and will start at 7 p.m. with a pregame show. Play by play is by Mike Blackwell. he is joined by Wimberley’s own Jarred Robinson.

KOWO is a local low powered station and not to confused with the other local station on 94.1. It too has to raise funds in order to broadcast the games. They will be broadcasting all the games, including those games deep in the playoffs.

They are a member of the Sun Radio Network but are completely independent. They too are looking for volunteers to help with the football games, including high school students who would like to get their feet wet working on a live broadcast football game.

“There will be interviews with Head Coach Doug Warren and other coaches to provide insight of the upcoming game. We always want listeners” Ryan Schuh, General Manager of KOWO said.

KOWO has made it easy to listen, locally or streaming, especially with the Sun Radio App for both iPhones and Android phones and all smart phone devices. “When people listen to the games,” it’s always neat to hear the response from people. It makes you feel good, especially the thank you’s,” Schuh said.

KOWO is also on Facebook and Twitter so it is not hard to keep up with the Texans. “In Wimberley, the fans and parents are passionate about Texan football. This is the only place to listen to your Texans football broadcast live KOWO – 104.1 FM,” he said.

Streaming at Wimberleyradio.org Texan games will be starting August 21 at 7 p.m. all through the regular season on Friday nights. See the station for time and opponents for playoff games as they happen.
