VFW hosts open house for veterans, families

Members of Wimberley’s VFW Post 6441 this Saturday will honor all area veterans and their families with an open house and free lunch.
After more than a year of the pandemic which restricted the observance of Veterans Day to an outdoor, drive-through event, this year it will be indoors in the VFW Hall, 401 Jacobs Well Road. Attendees will be able to sit down at tables inside and enjoy their meals.
As in the past, veterans service and assistance organizations will be available to assist veterans, family members and survivors.
A barbecue lunch with all the fixings will be served free to veterans and their families. Non-veterans will be asked for a small contribution.
The Veterans Day observance will be this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
