Regional Caregivers conference coming to town

The first regional conference of the national non-profit organization CareGiving.com will be held in Wimberley on April 6.

The one-day event on April 6th is designed to support “family caregivers,” which are those who help loved ones as they struggle with aging, chronic disease or other disabilities.

There are more than 10 workshops on variety of topics related to family caregiving, including: Alzheimer’s care, self-care, financial planning and more.

The cost of the conference is $30, which includes lunch.

Sponsors include: AA Care Services, Alzheimer’s Texas, American Advisors Group (AAG), Senior Shower Project, TBI Warrior Foundation, Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce, Wimberley Community Center, Senior Resource Guide.

Exhibitors include: Blue-Bonnet Palliative Care, Compassion & Choices, CTMC - Senior Behavioral Health Unit, Eden Hill Communities, Newnam Land LLP, New York Life, Texas Medical Plans.

The event is 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on April 6 at the Wimberley Community Center.
