Pledge drive for KWVH-FM 94.1 ends on good note
The past couple of weeks, Wimberley Valley Radio has been asking for pledges to support its mission of having a Wimberley local radio station and keeping it viable. The first order of business is to upgrade the transmitter so that the radio’s signal is stronger.
It ended Sunday night and the support is still coming in.
According to Station Manager and KWVH Board President Mike Crusham, “This is an unofficial number because there are still pledges coming in this am. We are at 120% of our goal and then some (with contributions of) $43,350.00 against the goal of $36,000 and still counting.”
It ended with a Cinco de Mayo celebration at the Flite Acres Ranch with music by Nathan Brown and Hector Ward and the Big Time, food by Chef Chozet, beer by Middleton’s Brewery, what a grand time on a beautiful day.
“All of us at Wimberley Valley Radio are truly grateful for this…The Pledge Drive and the Cinco de Mayo celebration were a smashing success. Thanks to all who contributed, sponsored, volunteer and listen to KWVH,” Crusham said.
