NASA to broadcast the eclipse from Kerrville

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration plans to broadcast the eclipse from noon until 3 p.m. from Louise Hays Park in Kerrville. The moon will begin to block the sun at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, April 8 and by 1:32 p.m. it is expected to completely block the sun. The sun will reappear at 1:37 p.m. and the event is predicted to be over at 2:56 p.m. The longest duration of totality occurs on the centerline of the eclipse path which goes through nearby Ingram. The time of duration drops off on either side of the 120mile path with people outside of the path only seeing a partial eclipse. South Texas has the best probability of good weather for the event in the United States and has the longest duration of totality.
