More than 100,000 fully vaccinated in county

Hays County’s vaccination effort continues with more than 102,000 residents fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

As of Thursday, 102,056 Hays County residents have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, approximately 52.07% of 195,999 eligible residents who are 12 years or older. Addition ally, 119,815 county residents have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose — 61.13% of the eligible population.

The DSHS also reported Thursday that 93.85% of Hays County residents who are 65 years or older have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine, while 83.59% in the same age group are fully vaccinated.

The DSHS stated that 13,881,187 Texans have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, and 11,937,756 have been fully vaccinated.
