Market Days in December

Once again being given approval, December’s Market Day will happen on Saturday, December 5. Naturally, the Wimberley Lions Club hopes that the last market of 2020 will help to offset the terrible deficit that this year’s sixmonth closure has caused their fund-raising efforts. October and November saw many visitors at Lions Field, where all of the current protocol was followed. EMS Director since 2004, Ken Strange, said, “Market Days was managed very well by the Lions. We had our ambulance out there as usual.”

A recent post on the club’s Facebook home-page noted, “Masks or face coverings are MANDATORY. We ask that you practice social distancing. There will be sanitizing stations throughout the field. Come join us for the last Market of the year. Limited food and beer concessions will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or until sold out. Don’t miss this last chance to find your treasures!”

Volunteers from the community are definitely needed to make December’s Market Day successful. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Terry Wicke, at [email protected].

December’s shopping hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lions Field is located off FM 2325, about a mile from the Wimberley Square. For more information, follow them on Facebook at Wimberley Market Days- Lions Club.
