Library to be named for Johnna Beth Dennis

The community is invited to attend a dedication ceremony by the Wimberley Independent School District to commemorate the naming of the Johnna Beth Dennis Library at Blue Hole Primary school on February 16 at 4 p.m.

Dennis was a longtime Wimberley educator who passed away in 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer. In September 2023 the WISD Board of Trustees approved the naming of the library in her honor. During her final year as a second grade teacher, she was voted Teacher of the Year by her peers. She inspired WISD students for 30 years, demonstrating a commitment to her students and peers that had an immeasurable impact.

The event will begin outside and move indoors where light refreshments will be available. There is no school on February 16th for students. Teachers meet for professional development that day. Blue Hole Primary school is located at 15900 Winters Mill Pkwy.
