Register to Vote

Every Tuesday and Thursday in September, Wimberley Valley Radio and the League of Wimberley Voters Hays County will a voter registration event. The registration will occur at the patio at the Lumberyard on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Wings Over Wimberley

Wings Over Wimberley will be a two-day event celebrating the Mexican free tailed bats that live under the Cypress Creek bridge. The event will be held on the Ozona Bank property along Cypress creek on October 1 & 2. For more information visit wingsoverwimberley.com.

Run for the Kids

The Run for the Kids will take place on October 2 and his hosted by 18ten Ministries. The 10k will start at 8 a.m. with the 5k and fun run following. All race proceeds support disadvantaged children in Central America. The event takes place at 15951 Winters Mill Parkway. To learn more, visit 18ten.org/run.

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Meeting

The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Support Group will meet on Thursday, October 7th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church Library, 956 FM 2325, Wimberley. This is an opportunity for caregivers to meet together, ask questions and share information with other caregivers who are traveling this same journey. Wimberley Metaphysical and Holistic Fair

On Saturday, October 9, the Metaphysical and Holsitic Fair will be hosted at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wimberley Community Center. Admission is free. Thre will be lectures throughout the day.

Mystery Dinner for Civic Club

Untangle a web of murder and intrigue over an Italian-themed dinner at Vintage Oaks Farm in Driftwood. A special event hosted by the Wimberley Civic Club, on October 14. Tickets are $65. For more information call 512 595-2059.

Wimberley Masonic Lodge Sporting Clays Benefit

The Wimberley Masonic Lodge will host the first annual Sporting Clays Benefit on October 16 at Hog Heaven in Dripping Springs. For more information, call (512)842-7141.

Ribbon Cutting at Martha Knies Community Park

On Sunday, October 24, at 2 p.m. there will be a ribbon cutting at Martha Knies Community Park. Join us to honor Martha’s legacy at this inspiring park created by our community.

Home Tour

The Wimberley Civic Club will host the Home Tour on October 29 & 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information visit wimberleyccc.org.

Wimberley Area Cancer Support Group

If you have experienced the diagnosis of cancer now or in the past, we invite you to meet with the Cancer Support Group, sponsored by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, to talk and relax with others who share your experiences. Meetings are in the Chamber of Commerce members’ room, 11:30 AM - 1 PM on the second Wednesday of the month.

Wimberley Valley Museum

There are new hours for the Winters-Wimberley House/Wimberley Valley Museum. It will be open on the first weekend of month (Market Days Weekend) with docents Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. starting June 4 and 5.

Farmers Market

The Wimberley Farmers Market is open every Wednesday, 3 - 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the visitor center, 14100 RR 12. Call (512) 264-1637 for more information.

VFW Bingo

The Wimberley VFW Post 6441 hosts bingo on Friday nights. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with food concession. Earlybird games start at 7:15 p.m. Regular games start at 8 p.m. For more information visit texasvfw.net/bingo.

Transportation Gathering

Bring your car, motorcycle, pickup, or whatever, whether classic or not to the First Baptist Church parking lot the Second Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. until 12 noon. Coffee provided
