Register to Vote

Every Tuesday and Thursday in September, Wimberley Valley Radio and the League of Wimberley Voters Hays County will a voter registration event. The registration will occur at the patio at the Lumberyard on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bats and You!

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. NO! It’s a Bat! Join the city of Wimberley Parks and Recreation Department learn about the myths of bats, their crucial role in the Hill Country Ecosystem, and stay up late as we go view our local bat colony. The event will be held on September 18 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Wimberley Pride Ride

The Wimberley Pride March has been adjusted to a Pride Ride in response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. The assembly for the ride begins at 136 Stillwater at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 18 and starts at 7 p.m.

Birdies For Business Golf Tournament

The Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce will host their annual fundraiser the Birdies For Business Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held on September 25. Breakfast tacos will be served at 8 a.m., Registration is at 8:30 a.m. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. and lunch at 12:30 p.m. Support local business by playing golf. Fantastic networking opportunities.

Music In the Air

On Saturday, September 25, the Wimberley Merchants Association will host Music in the Air will have live music all around the Wimberley Square. From noon until 5 p.m., five bands will play at five different locations downtown.

Birds and Brew

Are you an aspiring birder who wants to learn more about birds? Join Blue Hole Regional Park as they go on a bird outing through Blue Hole searching for feathered friends with aviary biologists from SWCA Environmental Consultants. The group will meet in the swimming area parking lot for coffee and conversation before the outing. Bring your own reusable mug or use the cups we provide. Kid-friendly binoculars will be provided but feel free to bring your own. Birds and Brew will be held on September 25 and November 13 at Blue Hole at 8 a.m. and runs until 9:30 a.m.

Studio Tour

The Wimberley Valley Art League will host the annual Studio Tour on Saturday, September 25 from 10 till 5, and Sunday, September 26 from 11 a.m. untill 4 p.m. . Run for the Kids

The Run for the Kids will take place on October 2 and his hosted by 18ten Ministries. The 10k will start at 8 a.m. with the 5k and fun run following. All race proceeds support disadvantaged children in Central America. The event takes place at 15951 Winters Mill Parkway. To learn more, visit 18ten.org/run.

Wimberley Metaphysical and Holistic Fair

On Saturday, October 9, the Metaphysical and Holsitic Fair will be hosted at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wimberley Community Center. Admission is free. Thre will be lectures throughout the day.

Daughters of the American Revolution meeting

Jacob’s Well Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, meets at the Emily Ann Theater in Wimberley on October 11, 9 am for socializing and 10 am for our business meeting. For more information go to jacobswellnsdar@gmail. com

Wimberley Area Cancer Support Group

If you have experienced the diagnosis of cancer now or in the past, we invite you to meet with the Cancer Support Group, sponsored by St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, to talk and relax with others who share your experiences. Meetings are in the Chamber of Commerce members’ room, 11:30 AM - 1 PM on the second Wednesday of the month.
