Become Deputized to Register Voters The Hays County Elections Office and the League of Women Voters – Hays County are teaming up to offer a training class to allow individuals to become a Deputy Voter Registrar. The class is August 13 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. at the San Marcos Public Library. Training is available to anyone interested.

Back to School Fiesta

The Barnabas Connection will host the annual Back to School Fiesta on Saturday, August 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 1p.m. at Cypress Creek Church.

Book Sale

The Wimberley Village Library will host a book sale on Saturday, August 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sales include Fiction, Children’, American Interest, Retro, Biography, Classics, Religion/Self-help and more. More pop-up sales to come. Check the library monthly for details on upcoming sales with new titles and categories.

Nunsense

The Wimberley Players present Nunsense by Dan Goggin Directed by Jason Kruger. The play runs from July 30 through August 22. Shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at wimberleyplayers.org.

Community Bible Study

For over 45 years, CBS has helped people understand God’s Word. CBS classes meet throughout the school year at First Christian Church, 3105 Ranch Road 12, San Marcos. Men, women, coeds, and children meet Tues evenings from 6:30– 8:00 p.m. beginning Sept 7. Women and children meet Wed mornings from 10:00 a.m.–noon beginning Sept 8. Daughters of the American Revolution meeting Jacob’s Well Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution meets in Wimberley every second Monday. Wimberley Valley Museum

There are new hours for the Winters-Wimberley House/Wimberley Valley Museum. It will be open on the first weekend of month (Market Days Weekend) with docents Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. starting June 4 and 5.

VFW Bingo
