Business Expo

Wimberley’s annual Business Expo is an opportunity to learn more about services and products available in Wimberley and surrounding area. April 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free Admission.

Concert in the Park at Blue Hole

Concert in the Park will be held every Friday in April at Blue Hole Regional Park. On Friday, April 26, Time of Night will play starting at 6 p.m. Admission is by donation.

Arts Fest

More than 100 artists will converge along the Blanco River at Waters Point for the annual Arts Fest. There will be food, beer, wine and music. For more information, go to www.wimberleyartsfest.com.

WAG Rescue Adoption Day

WAG will be at Wimberley Arts Fest on April 27 at Waters Point from 10am to 4pm with pups of all sizes and ages! If you are thinking about adding a furry family member, now is the time. We have wonderful dogs all looking for their forever homes! All available adult dogs have been fully vetted, are heartworm negative, are micro chipped and have been spayed or neutered. Puppies have been vetted, parvo tested, de-wormed and have had their shots current for their age and are micro chipped. If you can’t come to an Adoption Day, we are always willing to arrange a meet & greet with you. Contact us at [email protected] and we will set up a convenient time.

RX Drug Takeback Day

On Saturday April 27, 2019 from 10:00am until 4:00pm the Hays County Constables and Keep Wimberley Beautiful will be again hosting a drive-thru collection of all unwanted prescription and OTC drugs, except liquids, syringes and injectables. This is giving Wimberley the opportunity to safely remove and destroy unused drugs from their homes, without even have to get your of your car! Butterfly Festival

The 21st Annual Butterfly Festival will be held at EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Butterflies will be released every 30 minutes with plenty of entertaining events and actives in between.

Butterfly Festival Plant Sale

Hill Country Native Plant Society of Texas will hold it’s annual BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL PLANT SALE Saturday, April 27 at Emily-Ann Gardens, 1101 FM 2325, Wimberley. We’ll have hundreds of hand-raised native plants for your landscape at bargain prices along with expert planting advise from our NPSOT members. The booth will be just inside the front gate on the right, next to the greenhouse. Come by early to pick out your plants and we’ll hold them for you while you enjoy the festival.

Heart of Texas Genealogy Society meeting

Heart of Texas Genealogy Society will meet on May 2, 2019 at the Wimberley Village Library. David Arscott will do apresentation on “ Medieval women and what they can tell us about their families, and how we can apply their stories to discovering more about our own ancestors.”. David will focus on three women in the 8th to 10th centuries in Gaul. Their stories will be told by using history, geography, cultural anthropology, and what David calls People Recognition. He also will show how to use the genealogical tools of onomastics (naming patterns) and prosopography (resolving gaps in your ancestry) to get back past a brick wall. He will show how these can be integrated into a set of simple techniques that will allow you to more easily put the lives of your ancestors into the context of their time and place. During the brown bag round table from 12 noon to 1:30 pm prior to the presentation time, please bring your questions, road blocks, and other things you would like to discuss.

The World’s Largest 6K Walk/Run for Clean Water Kicks Off in Wimberley, TX on May 4, 2019. This is a family friendly event! Register now at World Vision 6k Team Wimberley UMC. Spring Pledge Drive for Wimberley Valley Radio

Wimberley Valley Radio invites you to a Cinco de Mayo Celebration in appreciation of our supporters and to wrap-up our Spring Pledge Drive. Join us under the stars and oaks at the amazing Flite Acres Foundry and Ranch for an evening of food, music and fun. ‘Proof’ at Wimberley Playhouse

David Auburn’s drama Proof opens on the Wimberley Players stage April 12 and runs through May 5. The production will be on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 P.M., Sundays at 2:30 P.M. Starlight Symphony Orchestra

Sunday, May 5, 2019, Wimberley: Join the Starlight Symphony Orchestra for a fun and lively Pops Concert with music from all your favorite superhero movies, TV, and musical theatre. Children 12 and under are welcome to show off their costumes on stage! 4:00 pm at the Wimberley First Baptist Church, 15951 Winters Mill Parkway, in Wimberley, TX. 24th Annual Garden Tour

Once again, the Wimberley Garden Club invites you to explore the stories of our diverse, nature-loving community during its annual garden tour, Saturday, May 11, from 9 am to 3 pm. This year’s self-guided journey, themed “Nature’s Palette,” will take you from post-flood Blanco riverside recovery to Woodcreek diamond-in-the-rough creativity to scrappy outland gardening on the Hays/ Blanco border. Tickets are $20 and are available from now to May 6 at www.wimberleygardenclub.org (by credit card) and from May 6 to 11 at the Wimberley Visitor’s Center (cash or check only). Tour guides and admittance wristbands must be picked up at the Visitor’s Center on the day of the tour.
