April 25

The Wimberley Valley Big Band’s second annual Rhapsody in Bluebonnets Gala Concert and Dance, 7 to 9 p.m., at Old Glory Ranch, 3633 River Road, will feature new music, new vocal performances, and a silent auction with gifts and experiences focused on fun. Individual tickets and tables of ten are available.

Each ticket holder will enjoy free snacks and two drink tickets. For tickets and other information visit wimberleyvalleybigband.org.

April 25

Schutze Scores Productions presents Outlaws in the Opera House Comedy Showcase, 7:30 p.m. in the Opera House at 7A Ranch, 333 Wayside Drive. Master entertainer Jade Esteban Estrada, also known as The Prada Enchilada, performs. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Snacks, beer, wine and canned cocktails available for purchase. For ages 18 and up. General Admission tickets are $15, online or at the door. For online tickets, go to eventbrite.com and search for Outlaws in the Opera House Comedy Showcase.

April 26

“Doubt: A Parable,” opens Friday on the Wimberley Players stage and continues through May 19. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25, available online at wimberleyplayers.org or by calling 512 847-0575. The Wimberley Playhouse is located at 450 Old Kyle Road.

April 27

The Wimberley Valley Museum presents their annual Pie Social, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on their grounds at 14068 RR12. A pie eating contest and judging for Best Pie, as well as first, second and third place pie awards will be given in each category. Hot dogs, family friendly activities and music by Marvin and Laura Bottera are part of the fun as is museum viewing and selfies against the museum’s new mural. More information at wimwic.org.

April 27

Camp No Kids at Blue Hole Nature Camp, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adults-only summer camp day with nature hikes, team challenges and crafts. $50 per person, age 21 and above. Register early at wimberleyparksandrec. com

April 27 & 28

The 17th Wimberley Arts Fest, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday will be held at the Waters Point Resort, 13401 Ranch Road 12. More than a hundred fine artists from 14 states will display their work. Shade, onsite parking, food, drink and continuous live music are part of the event. No charge to attend. A $10 parking fee will be charged for on-site parking. Free shuttles to nearby parking areas and to the Wimberley Square will run both days. On Saturday, a free shuttle from the Wimberley Community Center will also be available. For more information, visit wimberleyartsfest.org.

April 30

The “One Page Salon,’’ 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the patio of the 220 Fine Art Gallery on 220 Old Kyle Road. A popular readers event by the Austin Texas League of Writers will be part of the Wimberley Area Writers 2024 launch. Event is free. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar provided by Ranch Brand Wine and Spirits.

April 30 through May 21

Adult Sand Volleyball, Tuesdays, 5 to 8 p.m. at Blue Hole Regional Park. Six person teams, for ages 18 and up. Person fee $20; Team fee $105. Pre-registration required at wimberleyparksandrec.com. Check the website for fall volleyball dates.

May 1

The Civic Club’s Tablescapes Showcase, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Vintage Oaks Farm in Driftwood. Designs by ten teams will culminate in a raffle of one of the top table designs to raise money for Wimberley area non-profits and scholarships for graduating high school seniors. Tickets for the event are available online at wimberleyccc.org.

The Adult Craft LAB is a year-round tinker and craft program for adults 18 and up organized by the Wimberley Valley Library. Classes are held via Zoom on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.

Farmers and Artisan market, a community-based endeavor, specializes in fresh foods from growers and welcomes art, craft and other vendors. Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cowboy Church, 120 Green Acres Dr. The Wimberley Valley Museum located in the historic Winters-Wimberley House, 14068 Ranch Rd 12, is open for visitors on Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, and on the first Friday and Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For information, go to wimwic. org. MONTHLY EVENTS

Coffee and Cars is held the first Sunday of the month at Blanco Brew, 14200 RR12, from 8 to 11 a.m. Drivers with a hot rod, muscle car, sports car, exotic vehicle, classic truck or otherwise unique ride are welcome to put their car on display. For information, go to 12kingscarclub.com.

The Wimberley Valley Quilt Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month at the Wimberley Presbyterian Church at 956 RR2325. The Jacob’s Well Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution meets in Wimberley every second Monday to pursue historic preservation, patriotism and education in service to the community.
