Quilt Guild monthly meeting The Wimberley Valley Quilt Guild will meet on Wednesday, November 2 at the Wimberley Presbyterian Church on FM 2325. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. and the business meeting begins at 10:30 a.m.

Home Tour Kick Off Party The 35th Annual Home Tour high-profile Kick-Off Party, Thursday Nov. 3, at the home of Jerry and Tricia Linklater Fields, 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Features music by Pear Duo, open bar, and hors’ d’oeuvres from RR12 Supper Club and The Videre. Tickets are $150 and include a $25 Home Tour Ticket. Tickets can be purchased at WimberleyCCC.org. Turkey’s On 12 Fundraiser On Nov. 8 & 10, if you see a turkey on RR12 in front of Ozona Bank, it is not your imagination, It is Ozona Bank and Crisis Bread Basket volunteers collecting donations for the CBB’s annual Turkey’s on 12 Campaign. The bank is matching up to $5,000 in monetary donations to help assure families have food during the holiday season.

Civic Club Home Tour Civic Club’s 35th Annual Home Tour, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 11 and 12. Tour features four unique homes plus the historic Winters-Wimberley house. Tickets are purchased online at WimberleyCCC. org. Pick up for tickets, admission brochure, and wristbands are at the Wimberley Visitor Center on Nov. 4, 5, and Nov. 9 through 12.

Garden Club floral program The holidays are right around the corner and that means it’s time for one of the Wimberley Garden Club’s favorite traditions: creating flower arrangements for area shut-ins and nursing home patients. The club’s program on Wednesday, November 9,will feature HEB flower designer Bethany Hannah as she gives us great ideas for small arrangements that can easily be made with standard flower bunches from the grocery store. Join us at 10 am in the meeting room to the right of the indoor theater at EmilyAnn Gardens (there will be signage). The Garden Club meets from 10 am to noon on the second Wednesday of each month from September to May. Visitwimberleygardenclub.org for future program information.

VFW Veterans Day All Wimberley area veterans, their families, and survivors are invited to a Veterans Day celebration and free barbecue lunch on Saturday, 12 November 2022. Wimberley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6441 has hosted this event as a gathering for area veterans and their families and survivors. Besides a free barbecue dinner, local, state, and national veterans service agencies’ representatives will be available to provide information and assist with veteran services and benefits. Generous contributions from H-E-B and Texas Disposal Systems have made this event possible. Event hours are from 11 AM to 2 PM, Saturday at the VFW grounds on Jacobs Well Road.

Shred-it Day Keep Wimberley Beautiful , Ozona Band and H-E-B are sponsoring a Shred-It Day on Saturday November 12 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Wimberley Community Center parking lot.

Daughters of the American Revolution meeting Jacob’s Well Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, meets on November 14, 2022 at the Emily Ann Theater in Wimberley at 9:40 am for chat time and 10 am for our business meeting. Hill Country Herb Society Join the Hill Country Unit (HCU) of The Herb Society of America on November 16 for a hands on presentation called “Herbal Gift Ideas.” Kathy Boyle and D’Anna Tindal will share a few DIY holiday gifts containing herbs. Hill Country Community Band Concert The Hill Country Community Band will present “When Poems Become Music” on Saturday, November 19, at 2:00 P.M. at the Wimberley First Baptist Church, 15951 Winters Hill Parkway.

Wimberley Area Republican monthly meeting The Wimberley Area Republicans (WAR) will meet the third Sunday of November on the 20th. David Graham will speak on the Law Enforcement Response to Casualties. Meetings are held at the Wimberley VFW; 401 Jacobs Well Rd, at 5:30; doors open at 5:00.
