Wimberley Farmer s Market

Wimberley Farmer’s Market is a growers only market operating year round every Wednesday from 3-6pm in front of the Wimberley Valley Visitor Center. Our goal is to create an outlet for both the producer and consumer to connect and share in the local harvest.

Wimberley View Holiday Hours & Paper Delivery

The Wimberley View office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. Due to Christmas Day falling during the regular delivery schedule of the Wimberley View, the paper will not be delivered to businesses and subscribers until December 26.

Trail of Lights

The Hill Country’s Christmas treasure, the EmilyAnn Trail of Lights, opens November 30th and runs nightly through December 28th! New Year’s with the Wimberley Valley Big Band

Ring in the New Year of 2020 with the great big band music provided by our own Wimberley Valley Big Band by joining us on December 31st at 9pm at the Wimberley Community Center in downtown Wimberley. Dance and party the old year out and welcome in the wonderful new year to the fabulous sounds of classic big band music of all the greats…Ellington, Dorsey, Basie, and others. The party will begin at 9 and end after we have toasted and danced the first dance of the New Year 2020 at midnight. Tickets available for $45 per person at the Wimberley Chamber of Commerce or on our website (via Paypal) wimberleyvalleybigband.org.

Polar Bear Plunge at Blue Hole

JUMP into the New Year on January 1st at Blue Hole Regional Park for the 3rd annual Polar Bear Plunge & Fun Run at Blue Hole Regional Park! The event will start off with a 5K Fun Run at 10 am and a 1K Fun Run will begin at 11 am. Tickets are $20 per person and it includes admission to the 5K or 1K Fun Run, a special edition Blue Hole Polar Bear Plunge T-shirt, and a swag bag If you would not like to participate in the Fun Run, we will have a scheduled jump into Cypress Creek at 1:30pm, or you can come and plunge anytime during the event! We will have a fire at our fire pit, and we will be giving out hot drinks. Please see the full schedule below for more information. Make sure to bring a change of clothes and a towel. Free Family Fun Day at Jacob’s Well

Do you know your central Texas wildlife? Come find out more about our wildlife neighbors on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 from 12pm-2pm. Games, activities, and a guided hike. Guided Hike will begin at 1:45 p.m. No tickets necessary to participate. This event is FREE to the public. Meet at the Jacob’s Well Natural Area Nature Center – park in Parking Lot C for this event. (Lots A & B will be used for overflow) Event will be held rain or shine. In the event of bad weather, the activities will be held indoors. Be sure to bring water and good walking shoes. Concert Series on January 8th with Jason Eady. Enjoy live music in a beautiful settings. Gates open at 1 p.m. Music begins at 2 p.m. Advanced tickets are $20. Hill Country Wellness Reset 2020

Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Hill Country Wellness Reset (HCWR), taking place January 31st - February 1st, 2020 at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, TX. The price is $200 and will include two full days of workshops, keynote speakers, vendor exhibits and so much more. Participants will also have the chance to enjoy all the beauty Old Glory Ranch has to offer. Take a stroll along the Blanco River or around the property, or perhaps visit one of their resident miniature donkeys. The HCWR will have something for everyone. Wimberley Valley Museum Hours

Go visit the Wimberley Valley Museum during the new hours of operation on Friday’s from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Museum is located at The Winters-Wimberley House, 14068 Ranch Road 12, in Front of the Wimberley Community Center. This Museum tells the History of the Wimberley Valley through stories, photos and artifacts. More information can be found at www.wimwic.org.

Wimberley Quilt Guild

The Wimberley Quilt Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. (except June and December) in the Wimberley Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend and hopefully join our group of quilters.

Second Saturday Gallery Trail

Every month, around a dozen local galleries stay open late and welcome people to come early, stay late for wine and enjoy the light bites and an art-filled evening.
