Curative COVID testing expanding in Wimberley

Curative COVID-19 testing will continue to be offered in Wimberley and will have expanded availability.

Local residents who had testing planned at the facility early this week were notified that the tests needed to be rescheduled at a different location.

The confusion occurred during the re-configuration of the testing schedules, which resulted in a lack of testing and re-scheduling of testing at the Wimberley location this past Tuesday and Wednesday. The end result, however, is greater testing availability.

Beginning Thursday, January 7, Wimberley will have free COVID-19 testing available every day of the week, at the Wimberley Community Center.

In addition to the seven day a week testing, the newly configured Curative kiosk will also have slightly longer hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The process otherwise is the same, providing for a very easy cheek swab PCR test with a turnaround time of 36 to 48 hours.
