City of Woodcreek declares March 2024 ‘Dark Sky Month’

At their regular meeting on February 28, the Woodcreek City Council recognized Wimberley Valley as a recipient of the esteemed “Dark Sky Place of the Year” title for 2023 by Dark-Sky International, a distinguished non-profit organization devoted to the protection of the night skies for present and future generations.
The Council named March 2024 as Dark Sky Month in Woodcreek. Wimberley Valley Dark Sky Committee Chair Greg Webb accepted the proclamation.
