PROVIDED BY THE WIMBERLEY VALLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

Chamber of Commerce to host Winter Wonderland

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce is bringing good cheer to the valley. This annual holiday event is bringing all things Christmas to the Wimberley Valley with something for everyone. This year’s Wimberley Winter Wonderland is Nov. 17–18 at the Wimberley Community Center.

The Community Center will come alive decorated with full size Christmas trees, tabletop trees, wreaths, and table arrangements designed to delight. Each item is donated by a local business, non-profit organization, or individual. They are all part of a silent auction along with nativity sets, original artwork, and other fun items to be bid on. In addition several local businesses and artists will be showing their treasures at vendor tables. Wimberley Winter Wonderland is the perfect place to start your holiday shopping or finish it up. Be the first on Friday night to bid on your favorite Christmas tree or wreath. Buy it now, prices allow you to make sure it goes home with you.

Each year, the Chamber puts together a raffle tree made up not only of gift cards, but items donated by local vendors, artists and businesses. This year’s tree has a value of over $1,300. Tickets for the raffle tree are currently on sale. Contact the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce at (512) 8472201 or wimberley. org to purchase raffle tickets or buy them at Winter Wonderland. You do not have to be present to win.

The event kicks off on Friday, Nov. 17 from 6–8 p.m. Complimentary wine and snacks will be served and music by local musician Roland Brown will be provided. Silent auction items will be available for preview. As in the past, items can be purchased for your home, office or business. You can also bid and purchase for a family who might not be able to afford to purchase their own. Several local nonprofits will take these items and give them to a family in the community.

Saturday, Nov. 18, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be plenty of entertainment with face painting and balloon art for the kids, as well as visits with Santa starting at 11 a.m. Carriage rides will also be available from Square Inn. Saturday’s entertainment includes Hill Country Community Band, Wimberley High School Jazz Ensemble and Choir and Gerry Burns. Food trucks offering a variety of items will be available in the parking lot.
