Carrie Isaac formally files candidacy for Texas House District 45

Carrie Isaac has formally filed her candidacy to run for Texas House District 45 at the Republican Party of Texas headquarters.

“Hays and Blanco counties’ voices aren’t being heard in the Texas Capitol,” said Isaac, a conservative Republican. “Our current representative is an unabashed socialist who consistently votes for higher taxes, bigger government, and less freedom. I’m running to turn Central Texas red and give our values a voice again.”

Filing opened November 9 for the 2020 Republican primary election, which will be held on March 3.

“Texas didn’t become a beacon of liberty the world over through the big-government policies our current representative peddles,” Isaac continued. “With the Texas House just a few seats away from a Democrat majority, this election is more critical than ever. Conservatives must unite around the most electable, most trustworthy candidate who won’t back down from a fight.

“It’s with the spirit of service my father instilled in me as an Air Force veteran that I submit my candidacy to the people of Texas. As the next state representative for House District 45, I’ll work every day to keep the government out of our way and preserve the freedom that makes Texas the greatest state in our nation.”

Carrie Isaac is a fourth-generation Texan, nonprofit leader, wife, mother, IRONMAN triathlete, and proud conservative running to give Hays and Blanco counties’ conservative values a powerful voice in the Texas House of Representatives. She lives in Hays County with her husband, former state representative Jason Isaac, and their two sons.
