Brookshire Brothers matching funds for Martha Knies Community Park

Striving to complete the goal of putting the sculpture of “Painting Music” in the Martha Knies Community Park, Brookshire Brothers will be matching donations at the cash register.

According to Adam Lowther, Marketing Project Manager at Brookshire Brothers, just a word and they were ready to help with the purchase of the sculpture. Preserving the small town atmosphere and keeping the community spruced up and welcoming to visitors and locals alike, Martha Knies was the founder of Keep Wimberley Beautiful.

“Our good friend Robyn Ludwick (musician and owner of Devil’s Backbone Tavern) reached out about this project, and we immediately jumped on board. As a company, our mission is to be good people, selling good food, and doing good deeds. Simply put, giving back to our community is part of our DNA,” said Lowther.

“On Saturday (December 12), we kicked off a campaign where we match all customer donations up to $1,000. Donations can be made at the register in increments of $1, $3, or $5. We’re proud to support Martha Knies Community Park and to give others a platform to do the same.”

The Brookshire Brothers’ campaign will end at the end of the day on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

Locally Brookshire Brothers Store Manager, Dalen Welch agrees. “We’re thankful that we can help the Martha Knies Community Park’s efforts to inspire people. It’s hard to raise funds, especially during a pandemic. Being one of the few businesses open, we’re glad to help.”

There will be a formal dedication of the Martha Knies Community Park on March 7, 2021.
