Wimberley Village Library spreads Holiday Cheer

Wimberley Village Library helped celebrate the Christmas holiday with their “Holiday Cheer at the Library.”

The kids from the Wimberley Valley were able to enjoy making crafts, visit with Santa Claus, learn about Hanukkah and play in the “snow” – even if it was 70-degrees outside.

“What we try to do is reach all age groups,” Wimberley Village Librarian Carolyn Manning said. “This was an idea created by all these different librarians to reach all the kinds of age groups in the community. We always like to do something at Christmas time and this is what was created.”

Terri Brimm did a presentation about the story of Hanukkah and all the traditions that come with it while Micahel Dilsizian performed an acapella song sung in Latin.

The kids were also able to enjoy the “snowstorm” made possible by their rented out snowmachine.
