Walkin’ in a Winter Wonderland

The 5th Annual Wimberley Winter Wonderland took place over the weekend as part of the Wimberley Chamber of Commerce fundraiser.

“The idea is to get the community out, having fun, and doing Christmas while at the same time raising money for the Chamber,” Board of Directors Sissi Baskin said. “The trees and various auction items are donated by local businesses in town. We just like everyone to come down, enjoy Christmas, do a little shopping, have some fun… it just helps everyone get into the holiday spirit.”

Many of the auction items included Christmas Trees, paintings, Christmas Wreaths and a variety of assorted items.

“We’ve had people donate table tops, centerpieces, and during some years people have donated yard art,” Baskin said. “For people who don’t need Christ mas stuff, but they want to participate, we let them bet on trees and designate them to non-profit organizations.”

Other activities included face painting, balloon ani mals, and getting pictures taken with Santa Claus.
