Vintage Oaks Farm hosts Mystery Dinner Oct. 14

Untangle a web of murder and intrigue over an Italian-themed dinner at Vintage Oaks Farm in Driftwood. A special event hosted by the Wimberley Civic Club, the affair takes form with Wimberley High drama students. Under the guidance of Lonestar Theatre Director, Rhonda Riali, actors will open the investigation, drop clues, and interrogate suspects with the assistance of vigilant dinner guests. Partygoers are encouraged to wear 1940’s attire. Prizes and other surprises are part of the evening’s fun.

Organizer Becky Williams who planned the event says, “It’s always enjoyable to raise money for the Civic Club and it’s even more exciting that we get to work in conjunction with WHS drama students as the evening’s proceeds will go towards scholarships for seniors. We think it’s a perfect partnership.”

The dinner will take place at the wedding and event venue, Vintage Oaks Farm on Oct. 14 from 6 to 9 pm. Owners Bill and Sissi Baskin generously donated the venue for the event. “We think that giving back to our community is an important goal. Not only does it create a strong and unified network, it also creates a safety net when adversity strikes,” says Sissy Baskin, also a Civic Club member, who lived through the 2013 Onion Creek floods. “We hope the community will embrace this entertaining evening of good food, good wine, and good fun out here under our beautiful oaks.”
